Frequently asked questions...

The more you know, the more you grow

Is this therapy? No, this is not therapy, although it will be just as beneficial as a therapy session- depending on your specific needs. Coaching differs from therapy because a coach does not diagnose or treat mental illnesses. While therapy is incredibly valuable for unpacking and processing past trauma, coaching focuses on the present and future. Trauma-informed coaching integrates insights from trauma psychology to guide the process of setting meaningful goals and moving forward. Still, it does not aim to directly process or resolve the trauma itself. Coaching operates from the belief that clients are already whole and fully capable of achieving their goals. There is nothing inherently “broken” to fix. Instead, coaches empower their clients to tap into their inner potential, helping to reveal strengths and capabilities that may feel out of reach without guidance, support, and care. If you’re currently unable to manage day-to-day responsibilities, feeling deeply hopeless, or have been struggling with depression for an extended time, therapy would be a better starting point. Therapy provides a safe space to heal and build the foundation to move forward. However, coaching could be the transformative tool you need if you are generally stable but struggle to reach your goals, improve your relationships, or feel fully satisfied with your life. It provides a structured, supportive environment to help you create the life you desire.

Is coaching right for me? Coaching may not be the best option for individuals who are experiencing a crisis, overwhelming hopelessness, or struggling to manage day-to-day responsibilities. In such cases, I strongly encourage you to seek the support of a trauma-informed therapist who specializes in addressing your unique needs and providing the care required for healing. That said, therapy and coaching can be profoundly beneficial together. For those who desire dual collaboration, combining the depth of therapy with the actionable focus of coaching can maximize growth, healing, and transformation. Coaching, on its own, is an excellent option for those who have gained some awareness of their trauma and are ready to embrace growth, learning, and healing. It’s for individuals eager to take actionable steps toward creating a more fulfilling life. To determine if coaching is right for you, please visit the “Is This Right for Me?” tab for further information.

What type of problems do clients come to you for? Clients often come to me feeling weighed down by the lingering effects of past trauma. Many have endured psychological abuse that has left them struggling with self-doubt, a loss of identity, diminished confidence, and difficulty finding the motivation to move forward. Common challenges include people-pleasing, chronic anxiety, perfectionism, indecisiveness, and difficulty establishing healthy boundaries. While coaching is not therapy and does not aim to process or resolve past trauma, it provides a supportive space to acknowledge the client’s experiences and understand how they have shaped their current mindset. As a coach, I serve as a sounding board to help clients identify where they are coming from and guide them toward making informed, empowered decisions that align with their present and future goals. Together, we focus on shifting limiting beliefs, cultivating resilience, and turning past pain into a catalyst for personal growth and purposeful action.

Do I need to enroll in a program? While I typically work with clients through 1, 3, or 6-month contracts tailored to their specific needs, I also offer the flexibility of individual session bookings.

What is the benefit of a program package? A program package offers numerous advantages to clients, ensuring a more effective and transformative coaching experience. First, it establishes a dedicated time frame for the coach and client to collaborate toward specific goals. This allows the coach to deeply understand the client’s concerns and tailor actionable strategies for lasting change. It also provides the opportunity to test and refine various tools and techniques to determine what works best for the client as they progress through the agreed timeline. Another key benefit is financial: program packages often come with a discounted rate, a way for the coach to express gratitude for the client’s commitment. Beyond the cost savings, investing in a program signifies a deeper commitment to yourself and your growth. Transformative, trauma-informed coaching is not a quick fix—it’s a process that requires time, trust, and dedication. By choosing a program package, clients signal their readiness to embark on a meaningful journey of self-discovery and change. This approach acknowledges that healing and personal growth are more like a marathon than a sprint, emphasizing the importance of patience, mutual trust, and co-creation in the coach-client relationship.

The hourly rate includes: -Preparation time for our session -The 1-hour coaching session -A recap of the session, including a detailed plan for the week ahead -Goal setting for ongoing progress -Any additional relevant information sent to you via email -Access to me throughout the week via email or text for any questions or motivational support -Reading material and trauma-healing workbook exercises sent to you via email for continued growth Package Options (with discounts for multiple sessions): Single Session: $150 3-Session Package (5% Discount): $427.50 ($142.50/session) 6-Session Package (10% Discount): $810 ($135/session) 12-Session Package (20% Discount): $1,440 ($120/session)

Are you a Holistic Nutritionist? Yes, I am. In addition to my medical background, I have a deep understanding of how trauma can impact physical and psychological health. I spent several years studying nursing and worked in a hospital, pediatrics office, and behavioral health clinic. Ultimately, I chose a more holistic path, realizing the powerful role that nutrition plays in overall well-being. After earning my social and behavioral science degree, I pursued further nutrition education and became a board-certified, internationally accredited holistic nutritionist (AFPA, IPHM, AAWP). This combination of experience has equipped me with a unique, holistic perspective when coaching clients, especially in integrating nutrition into trauma recovery. Trauma often leads to a heightened state of stress, which causes the overproduction of cortisol. This disrupts the body's systems and results in deficiencies in essential vitamins and minerals. These deficiencies can contribute to feelings of insecurity, self-doubt, lethargy, and cognitive disturbances. Since 95% of serotonin, the "feel-good" neurotransmitter, is produced in the gut, nutrition plays a critical role in elevating mood, mental clarity, and overall physical health. My nutritional guidance can be integrated into trauma recovery sessions as part of a comprehensive healing plan or offered as a separate personalized program designed to complement personal growth and overall wellness.

What can I expect if I book Holistic Nutrition or Mystery Diagnosis? Clients can expect a comprehensive, personalized approach to wellness. This includes tailored meal plans, goal setting, and the option to request bloodwork to assess nutritional deficiencies. For Mystery Diagnosis, clients can expect a detailed intake of client information and research completed on their preferences; bloodwork can be conducted through your insurance or out-of-pocket with MD Labs, for which I will provide a discount code. Based on our discussions, a personalized blood panel will be chosen in collaboration with you to identify any deficiencies. Please note that all bloodwork fees are the client’s responsibility. Additionally, for clients seeking more holistic support, I offer the option to connect with their medical team for collaboration on improving overall well-being. As a Holistic Nutritionist, my role is to empower clients with knowledge, actionable insights, and proactive information that they can bring to their physicians. This approach promotes a sense of control over health and supports clients who are navigating the challenges of mystery diagnoses or who feel emotionally and physically drained by persistent pain without gaining further understanding of potential ailments. Many of my clients struggle with chronic fatigue, unexplained pain, eye twitching, rashes, hair loss, brittle nails, and a variety of other physical symptoms. Often, they are unaware that these physiological responses can be directly linked to elevated cortisol levels caused by trauma. This prolonged stress can disrupt the body’s natural balance, leading to deficiencies that manifest in both physical symptoms and internal issues, such as gastrointestinal distress. Unfortunately, healthcare providers are often overwhelmed with the volume of patients they see, making it difficult to fully assess each individual’s unique symptoms and explore potential connections. This is where I come in. As a holistic nutritionist and coach, I work closely with my clients to explore the root causes of their symptoms, suggest appropriate bloodwork, and identify nutritional deficiencies that may be contributing to their health concerns. By addressing these deficiencies and understanding how trauma impacts the body, we can work together to create a personalized plan for the client to share with their medical team that promotes healing, balance, and overall wellness.

What is your refund or cancellation policy? Cancellation Policy: Clients must provide at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Appointments must be reserved with a $25 deposit. This deposit will be used towards the client's appointment fee. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice or no-shows will result in the forfeiture of the $25 deposit, which will be applied as a fee for the missed appointment. A one-time courtesy reschedule may be offered for first-time late cancellations at the coach's discretion. Refund Policy: Deposits for Programs or Packages: A deposit of 25% of the total program/package cost is required to secure your spot. This deposit is non-refundable, as it reserves the coach's time and resources for your personalized plan. For prepaid programs or packages, refunds for unused sessions may be granted on a pro-rated basis based on the remaining balance minus the non-refundable deposit. Refunds are not provided for completed sessions, as the time, effort, and expertise involved are non-recoverable. Rescheduling Policy: If you need to reschedule, notice must be provided at least 24 hours in advance. Rescheduled sessions must be booked within 14 days of the original appointment date, subject to availability.
